BLOCK 3 & 4: Grassroots Level 2 Soccer


U8-U10 Grassroots Programming:

 

Registration Blocks:

Number of Matches: Each block will consist of 8 WYSA Match Days

Block 1 Length: May 4th, 2026 - June 26th, 2026

Jamboree Date: June 27th, 2026

Block 2 Length: August 4th, 2026 - September 26th, 2026

Jamboree Date: September 27th, 2026

Block 3 Length: October 26th, 2026 (Games start Oct.31st/Nov.1st) - December 19th/20th (Holiday Break)

Block 4 Length: January 5th, 2027 (Games start Jan.9th/10th) - March 14th, 2027

Jamboree Date: March 14th, 2027

 

Block 3 & 4 Training Days:

Training will take place at WSF South facility located at 211 Chancellor Matheson Rd. *Please note due to space availability in January this is subject to change*

 

U8 Boys, U10 Boys & U10 Girls:

  • Monday 5:00 PM -6:00 PM
  • Wednesday 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

U8 Girls, U9 Girls & U9 Boys:

  • Tuesday 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Thursday 5:00 PM -6:00 PM

Block 3 & 4 Match Days:

Match days will take place at two locations 1) WSF South Facility (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd) & WSF North Facility (770 Leila Ave)

 

U8 Boys and U8 Girls: Saturday (anywhere between 8AM & 8PM) They will play 5v5

U9 Boys and U9 Girls: Saturday (anywhere between 8AM & 8PM) They will play 5v5

U10 Girls: Saturday (anywhere between 8AM & 8PM) They will play 7v7

U10 Boys: Sunday (anywhere between 8AM & 8PM) They will play 7v7

 

Grassroots Level 2 (2 training + 1 game per week)

Grassroots Level 2 is designed for players who demonstrate strong interest and readiness for increased training frequency and a more advanced learning environment. 

This program builds on foundational technical skills while introducing greater tactical awareness, decision-making, and competitive confidence. 

Our curriculum follows Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) principles as supported by Canada Soccer. 

Participation options are based on training frequency and are not skill based tiers.

 

What Players NEED:

  • Soccer cleats
  • Shin guards (MANDATORY) 
  • Water bottle 
  • Weather-appropriate clothing 

*Note players MUST not wear any jewelry (Earrings, bracelets, watches etc.) this is a safety issue. 

 

Your registration includes all training and games costs plus two training tops, shorts and socks.
